getting crafty

I am not crafty. I like to leave the craftiness to the professionals. Two years ago, however, I bought this adorable puppy love cross stitch kit from ChezSucreChez on Etsy...and finally started working on it last week. With a brief interruption to purchase more floss when I ran out, I managed to complete them over a period of about three days.
It was harder than I thought it would be to put the tiny Xs into their proper places. Guess which one I did first? I did enjoy the project, and I wish I had another kit on hand to work on. However, my next thing to try is...crochet! I mentioned to my mom back in November that I wanted to try and learn crochet, and she sent me yarn, needles, and a book about it for Christmas. Now I suppose I have no excuse not to learn.
Would I like to learn how to crochet something like this?

Well, yes, but...I'm realistic. I think my goal will be some throw pillows for the sofa!

Timbaland Apologizes To Chris Brown Over Aaliyah Duet Diss

Timbaland is on an apology offensive these days. The super-producer revealed he wrote an apology song for Jay-Z regarding their early aughts falling out, and now Tim is telling Chris Brown he’s sorry for indirectly slamming Breezy’s “duet” with Aaliyah. Earlier this week, Timbaland told Diddy‘s Revolt TV that these posthumous Aaliyah collaborations coming out (Drake also did one) “will never work” because they’re missing her music’s soulmate: Tim himself.

Now he has backtracked, saying, “I want 2 publicly apologize 2 my lil homie @chrisbrown 4 my statements on revolt regarding the Aaliyah collaborations. I actually like the song wit him n Aaliyah, its just when you are talking about babygirl its a very sensitive subject with me.” Interestingly, Tim had no words for Drake, so we’re going to assume that means he feels the same way about “Enough Said” as the rest of us.

Jay Z Surprises Beyonce With Onstage Kiss: Watch The Adorable Moment

Beyonce brought the Mrs. Carter Show to Philadelphia Thursday (July 25), and Mr. Carter made a surprise appearance that even Bey herself wasn’t expecting. As she introduced her band and dancers, Jay Z jogged onto the stage behind his wife. Once the crowd realized who it was, their was a roar of applause, and Bey, realizing something was up, turned around just as Jay embraced her for a surprise peck on the cheek. It was really quite adorable (it’s not often that you get to say that about a celebrity couple).
