This may be Beyonce‘s month, but Alicia Keys is making a strong argument that it’s her time, too. Just a week after having performed at the Grammys with Maroon 5, and a few weeks after her Super Bowl National Anthem, Keys will perform at halftime of the NBA All-Star Game in Houston, TX on February 17. The star-studded gameday lineup also includes John Legend singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” and Ne-Yo singing during player introductions.
If the Super Bowl Halftime show is the biggest ten minutes celebrating sport’s marriage with pop, then NBA All-Star Weekend is the biggest three days celebrating that partnership. The game is the culmination of a weekend of events, which this year will include performances by Ellie Goulding, Phillip Phillips, and Fall Out Boy‘s first live television performance in three years.
