How to Copy Sarah Jessica Parker’s Chic Pleated Skirt Shopping Outfit!

Prepare to be Carrie Bradshawed, ladies, because this outfit is definitely going to make heads turn your way. Sarah Jessica Parker's idea of a shopping outfit in fetching Rome is a monochromatic black ensemble featuring a modest pleated skirt and a pair of sky-high heels!

Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted with a friend rummaging through the clothing rails at the Via Sannio flea market in Rome on October 17, 2014

The 49-year-old showed some serious knack for style in her pleated midi skirt. The box-pleated piece added just the right romantic touch to her all-black look without veering away from her conservative aesthetic. But in true Carrie Bradshaw style, the mother-of-three spiced it up with a cleavage-baring camisole and a pair of gorgeous mules.

You can totally copy this look (if you don't mind walking in tall shoes for shopping, that is)! The key there is wearing a cute midi skirt, preferably one with pleats. Grab your black camisole and layer a cardigan over it. Accessorize with a pair of black sandals, a fedora hat and statement jewelry.

The Easiest Way of Wearing a Printed Skirt According to Reese Witherspoon is…

...partnering the skirt with a basic white shirt. Okay, she didn't exactly say the words but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that it's one of her infallible fashion tricks. Just Google Reese Witherspoon and her skirts and you'll find quite a number of photos of her in this go-to ensemble.

Her latest look involves yet again another plain white button down shirt. But this time, the actress takes it up a notch with a colorful geometric-printed skirt.

The print on the 38-year-old's skirt reminded us of carnivals and swirly lollipops, for some reason. It must be the red, pastel blue and white theme or the striped red print. Reese looked ready to take on the world in this faultless ensemble. She meant business in her crisp white top but the skirt took care of the fun in the outfit.

The overall effect is classy, thanks to the addition of the simple red sandals, chunky accessories, the white Hermes Birkin bag and the big pair of sunglasses.

The Legally Blonde actress isn't the only one who relies on the versatility of the white shirt and printed skirt combo. We swear by it too! So here are some outfits we put together inspired by this look:

Kelly Brook Makes Baroque Patterns Look Summer-Appropriate

Jacquard has been making its rounds for summer and English beauty, Kelly Brooks, is one to sit up and notice. The Italian Job actress was seen out in the streets of London filming for her upcoming movie Taking Stock a few days ago. She seemed to be in good spirits as she trudged down the streets, even flashing the paparazzi a dazzling smile. Kelly and the rest of the film’s cast and crew all seemed to be getting along well, filling the actress’ Instagram account and Twitter with rather jovial uploads. Kelly tweeted: “Big Thank you to anyone who has dropped by to support our Movie or tweeted!! Really appreciate the Love xxx” and even uploaded a picture of herself being prepped for her scenes with big rollers in her hair, jokingly putting the caption: “Look what these bitches keep doin to me!! #takingstockthemovie”.

The actress seemed to have taken a day off in between shooting, uploading some funny car videos of her and a girlfriend. I guess she deserves the break after juggling acting and promoting her clothing line (in collaboration with New Look).

The actress looked radiant as the blush pink of her skirt did wonders for her complexion (that and mostly because of that big smile, of course).

The jacquard pattern printed lightly on a pink skirt makes it absolutely summer-appropriate, as jacquard patterns tend to look heavy. The skirt is cut out in a skater silhouette to give it enough flounce but still keeping it structured enough to accommodate the weight of chambray.

Summer Shopping on a Budget: Kelly Brook Demonstrates How to Use Dresses as Skirts

A little bit of resourcefulness can go a long way, as demonstrated by the lovely English actress, Kelly Brook, who donned two different floral skirts in one shooting day for her upcoming movie Taking Stock. What’s so resourceful about that, you ask? The actress was actually wearing dresses underneath the “Do South” tee (which we assume is a fictitious name for a coffee shop or restaurant that she is working for in the film), passing off the bottom parts quite marvelously as separate skirt pieces (not to mention, she successfully gave us a difficult time identifying her wardrobe).

Kelly had just started shooting her upcoming movie in various London places less than a week ago. On the 30th of June, she tweeted: “Start our first day of Filming tomorrow I hope the Sun shines like today so beautiful #TakingStocktheMovie”. The actress has also been busy promoting her collaboration with New Look, wherein she designed some hit bikinis for more curvaceous body types.

To use floral dresses as skirts, make sure the bodice is adequately fitting so that layering over it won’t make your top look bulky and awkward. Choose fabrics that cling to the body. For skater or flowy dresses, the hemline of the layered top should sit right on the waist of the dress. Bodycon dresses, however, are more forgiving in terms of choosing tops to layer it with.

To kill two looks with one purchase, you may find Kelly’s film wardrobe picks below:

Keira Knightley Is Nymphlike in a Whimsical Mary Katrantzou Dress

The gorgeous Keira Knightley top-bills the best-dressed list at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival held at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. The actress stepped onto the red carpet alongside co-star Adam Levine for their latest film, in which she plays a girl trying to find her way in the music business after being dumped by her celebrity boyfriend. Can a Song Save Your Life? We're not so sure. But Keira's dress just might.

The 28-year-old English actress made all camera lenses turn her way when she stepped out in an enchanting Mary Katrantzou strapless dress (as if she herself were not enchanting enough). The forest-print creation gave off a mystical vibe, echoed by Keira's wispy hairstyle and smoky eyes. Keira finished her nymphlike look with a pair of dainty ankle-strapped Louboutins in nude suede.

We couldn't find the exact print on Keira's dress, but the Nevis Dijon tree-print strapless dress is pretty darn close (the Audrey Hepburn-like dress silhouette is exactly the same as well). This Mary Katrantzou piece is made of 100% silk, boasting of a full, pleated skirt that showcases the designer's trademark scenery prints.
