How to Copy Sarah Jessica Parker’s Chic Pleated Skirt Shopping Outfit!

Prepare to be Carrie Bradshawed, ladies, because this outfit is definitely going to make heads turn your way. Sarah Jessica Parker's idea of a shopping outfit in fetching Rome is a monochromatic black ensemble featuring a modest pleated skirt and a pair of sky-high heels!

Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted with a friend rummaging through the clothing rails at the Via Sannio flea market in Rome on October 17, 2014

The 49-year-old showed some serious knack for style in her pleated midi skirt. The box-pleated piece added just the right romantic touch to her all-black look without veering away from her conservative aesthetic. But in true Carrie Bradshaw style, the mother-of-three spiced it up with a cleavage-baring camisole and a pair of gorgeous mules.

You can totally copy this look (if you don't mind walking in tall shoes for shopping, that is)! The key there is wearing a cute midi skirt, preferably one with pleats. Grab your black camisole and layer a cardigan over it. Accessorize with a pair of black sandals, a fedora hat and statement jewelry.

Try these coordinates to nail the Sex and the City actress' ensemble:

Lucy Hale Hosts the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards in a Zimmermann Maxi Skirt

Dressing up for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards is not a walk in the park. You have to be extra conscious about striking a balance between stylish and edgy. It's an occasion full of creative artists whose idea of an awards show attire is something crazy so you definitely don't want to be left behind. On the other hand, you also don't want to end up on someone's worst-dressed list.

For Lucy Hale, who was tasked to be the night's host, the pressure is probably even stronger. But we have to hand it to the Pretty Little Liars actress because she pulled off the perfect ensemble:

The 25-year-old actress and singer gussied up in a leather halter top from Sachin + Babi and mixed it with a classier skirt - this floral maxi number from Zimmermann. If balance was what the You Sound Good To Me singer was after, she pulled it off with aplomb.

The leather top added the edgy appeal necessary for an awards show like the MTV VMAs and the skirt cleaned up the look, with its floral pattern and peek-a-boo detailing. She accessorized with a pair of teardrop-shaped earrings from Graziela Gems, EF Collection jewelry and a pair of silver sandals.

Lucy's statement skirt is still available if you want to get your hands on it:

Give Your Jeans a Break! Wear These Trendy Printed Pants for a Change

Tired of your usual jeans get-up but can't seem to let go of comfortable clothes? There's an influx of trendy printed pants for you to experiment on. Wear some of the most current prints like tartan and geometric and you'll never run out of chic style.

So temporarily relinquish your jeans and have a go with these covetable printed pants:

1. Kenzo Eye Print Lambskin Trouser, $1459.66

Halloween is over but that shouldn't stop you from adding a few quirky (and spooky!) touches to your ensemble. We have this eye-printed pair of trousers in mind. Thanks to Kenzo, the eye print is becoming popular as of late.

2. Michael Kors Jacquard Dogtooth Pattern Trouser, $895.00

First, the color is so striking, it won't be difficult to look gorgeous in it. Second, that large houndstooth print screams preppy vibes. So if you are wearing this, go that route and wear it with a collared top.

3. Issey Miyake Striped Trouser, $580.00

Plaid? Patched? You can use both to describe the print. This pair of trousers is easily one of the most versatile ones we have seen as of late. You can wear it with solid-colored tops or experiment on a print-on-print look.

4. Fausto Puglisi Tartan Print Trouser, $1840.30

Ah, yes, the tartan print. The must-have print of the season. You definitely can't go wrong with this one. Wear it with an oversized trench coat and sweater. Cap off the look with high top sneakers.

5. Marc by Marc Jacobs Etta Print Pants, $378.00

Fancy something geometric in your wardrobe? Go for this pair of pants. The cropped silhouette opens up doors for preppy styling, which is a big hit for autumn and winter.

6. Rag & Bone/JEAN Plaid Portobello Pants, $264.00

The gingham print obsession last summer is still alive this autumn. But tone down on the colors and try something with a muted color palette like this pair.

7. Tibi Slim Zebra Pants, $395.00

Fancy wearing an outfit inspired by the jungle? Go for something as tasteful as this zebra-printed pair of pants. This would definitely make an all-black outfit look more stylish.

So what do you guys think? Are you saying yes to printed pants this autumn?
