Taylor Swift Explains The Animators Sequence In “Shake It Off” Outtake

Taylor Swift has been slowly rolling out fun outtakes from behind-the-scenes of the silly video for her smash hit, “Shake It Off.”

Last week, Taylor gave us a look at the ballet, cheerleader and modern dance sequences from the clip. And today, we’re learning a bit more about the The Animators - the futuristic pop-and-lockers. “Dancers are such passionate people about what they do, and they’re so proud to be in a music video representing their style of dance…and I’m so proud to awkwardly ruin it with my dancing,” she deadpans.

Head down after the jump to watch the 1989 singer-songwriter dancing crazy spastic in front of the trained dancers in a vintage Lady Gaga (circa 2008) spaceball look. “I try so hard. I’m always trying so hard…I think that’s the point of this video,” Taylor reflects behind the scenes. Oh, Taylor.

Jessie J To Play Intimate Showcases In New York City And Los Angeles This October

Jessie J is bringing a little sweetness stateside this fall.

Just ahead of the release of her forthcoming third studio LP Sweet Talker on October 14, the British powerhouse vocalist has just announced two intimate shows in America this October.

Jessie will be heading to Gramercy Theatre in NYC on October 9, followed by a performance on her album release day at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on October 14. And, judging by her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards this year, Jessie’s beloved Heartbeats are certainly in for a stunning live showcase.

The songstress will most likely be performing a mixture of older Who You Are smashes like “Price Tag” and “Domino,” as well as key cuts off of her upcoming album. And hey, maybe her “Bang Bang” BFFs Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj or “Burnin' Up” collaborator 2 Chainz will stop by too?

America’s Got Talent crowned a new winner during their live grand finale yesterday night at Radio City Music Hall. So, what better way to celebrate than by enlisting Mr. Worldwide and some of New York’s most talented dancing divas to bring the house down?

After an extended intro by the leggy dancers, international playboy Pitbull arrived on a smaller stage, setting the room ablaze with his latest party anthem, “Fireball.” The superstar shimmied down the aisle to the stage and ran all over the place (and around the judges!), bringing it down and taking it back up again with the girls. Who knows? If this whole pop star thing doesn’t work out, he’s always got a shot strutting his stuff with The Rockettes.

Clean Bandit Perform “Rather Be” On ‘Good Morning America’: Watch

No-No-No-No-No!

When we interviewed Clean Bandit this past spring, we obviously had quite a crush on the UK band’s addictive pop-meets-house-meets-classical sound, but we had no idea how big their crossover hit “Rather Be” would become in America. Fast forward to September, a time when the quartet’s Jess Glynne-featuring single has been hovering just outside of the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks and they’ve been trekking across the States doing live shows in support of their debut LP New Eyes.

Neil, Grace and brothers Jack and Luke played at New York City’s Webster Hall on Tuesday evening, then followed that up with a performance of “Rather Be” (sans Jess Glynne, but with vocalist Elisabeth Troy in tow) on Good Morning America.

Unfortunately, the only embeddable clips of it out there are pretty dodgy, as far as quality goes, so your best bet is watching here.
