Timbaland is on an apology offensive these days. The super-producer revealed he wrote an apology song for Jay-Z regarding their early aughts falling out, and now Tim is telling Chris Brown he’s sorry for indirectly slamming Breezy’s “duet” with Aaliyah. Earlier this week, Timbaland told Diddy‘s Revolt TV that these posthumous Aaliyah collaborations coming out (Drake also did one) “will never work” because they’re missing her music’s soulmate: Tim himself.
Now he has backtracked, saying, “I want 2 publicly apologize 2 my lil homie @chrisbrown 4 my statements on revolt regarding the Aaliyah collaborations. I actually like the song wit him n Aaliyah, its just when you are talking about babygirl its a very sensitive subject with me.” Interestingly, Tim had no words for Drake, so we’re going to assume that means he feels the same way about “Enough Said” as the rest of us.
