Rihanna Gets A Racy Tattoo To Honor Late Grandmother

If anyone can make a tribute to a late relative slightly sexy and thus slightly off-putting, it’s Rihanna. Fresh off her performance at the Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony with Jay-Z and Coldplay, RiRi tweeted a photo of her big new under-boob tattoo, which you can see above. The extravagant ink depicts the Egyptian Goddess Isis, and Rihanna got it to honor her grandmother Clara "Dolly" Braithewaite, who passed away in July. Check out the slightly NSFW photo of the tattoo after the jump.

The revealing image was accompanied by a loving tribute to her “GranGran.”

Always “on” her heart…for you sticklers out there, we’d like to point out that the little tuft of hair makes it onto the heart region of the chest. Phew, imagine how foolish she would’ve looked! Rihanna is no stranger to body art, with several tattoos already comprising stars, quotes and a gun.

Icona Pop Get “Ready For The Weekend” With New Club Smash

Icona Pop Ready For The Weekend Single

Swedish electropop duo Icona Pop turned their Charli XCX-penned ode to reckless living, “I Love It,” into the song of the summer - and now, they’ve recorded a surefire anthem for the weekend, too. The club mix of “Ready For The Weekend,” which just premiered via Pitchfork, is six minutes of throbbing house beats and chopped ‘n’ screwed vocals: It’s darker and more muscular than the euphoric “I Love It,” but just as well-suited for the dancefloor. Hear the track after the jump.

“Grab somebody, go and live it up!” the girls chant over glitchy, dubby instrumentation. If anything could get hordes of partygoers ready for the weekend, it’s this.

“Ready For The Weekend” drops tomorrow on Beatport, with their upcoming EP The Iconic (featuring “I Love It” alongside some previously unreleased tracks) due out October 16.

Do Icona Pop make you feel “Ready For The Weekend”? Sound off on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments.

One Direction and Justin Bieber Hang in L.A.

After arriving stateside for the MTV VMAs, the boys of One Direction got to log some much needed hang time with friend, mentor and fellow VMA nominee Justin Bieber in L.A.

Reports say that the boys were excited to see one another, but according to The Bieb’s manager Scooter Braun, the hangout sesh (that’s short for ‘session’) may have been a little too much teenaged hottness for the world to handle.

so @justinbieber @niallofficial and @zaynmalik are all hanging out and @alfredoflores is the coolest. and now… teenage girls heads explode.

As a rule, we kind of think Scooter Braun is a major tool – but the guy may have a point here.

For his part, JB took to his Twitter account to give an official Hollywood welcome to 1D members Niall Horan and Zayn Malik,

We’re glad to see that these boys can put their VMA rivalry aside and hang out like regular guys. Regular guys who are like, waaay hotter than normal regular guys

So who will walk away with the MTV Moonman for “Best Pop Video”? Find out when the MTV Video Music Awards air tomorrow night at 8EST!

Taylor Swift’s Heartbreaking New Song “Ronan” Tributes Four-Year-Old Cancer Victim: Listen

Taylor Swift‘s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is a sassy kiss-off to an ex-paramour, but her Stand Up To Cancer track “Ronan” is a goodbye of an entirely different variety. Co-written with Maya Thompson, the song is a tribute to Thompson’s four-year-old son Ronan, who succumbed to cancer last year. If that idea alone isn’t enough to get you bawling, the gorgeous ballad itself is likely to, featuring ruminations such as Ronan would want to be for Halloween this year if he were still alive and lyrics like “You were my best four year.”

The subject matter is so devastating, Swift herself even has to audibly sigh at one point. And yet, despite the sadness, the ultimate takeaway is one of hope: “What if the miracle was even getting one moment with you?” Hear it below.

Taylor Swift – “Ronan”

Surely, both lyrically and musically, this has to be one of Swift’s best songs ever, no?

Visit the Ronan Thompson Foundation for more on the song’s subject, and let us know how many tears you shed listening to the tune on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments.
