Deep DancingTaylor Swift‘s lead 1989 single “Shake It Off” is a certified smash, having spent two weeks atop the Billboard 100. Likewise, the perky song’s accompanying music video has racked up over 90 million views on YouTube since its debut last month - more than enough to prompt Taylor to premiere a series of behind-the-scenes videos detailing the thought and work that went into certain dance segments in the clip.
Above, Swift describes what it was like shooting the modern dance sequence. “There’s been so much cardio to wear me out,” she admits. “We do several takes of each full pass of the song and the whole time I’m full out. Like, the dancers around me are full out and so we’re all pretty wiped out.”
Watch that clip above, then catch outtakes from the cheerleader and ballerina bits in the “Shake It Off” video below.
